For our GirlsUP Teen Board for our Spring community service project, GirlsUP Teen Board partnered up with Free Minds Book Club, a local non-profit. As GirlsUP Girls, we know the value of self-expression. Working with Free Minds Book Club, GirlsUP Girls had the chance to read and provide positive feedback on poems and narratives written by incarcerated teenagers. Our written feedback was then taken back to these teens, and through the power of our pens, our words of encouragement will help to inspire them to continue to strive to find their own voices.
